Boarding the Hawk Advisory...All Aboard...

I am respectful, honest, responsible.
I am a Hawk!
Hawks are BANANAS for BOOKS!

Thank you...
Team Firgrove for making our first of many Family Outreach Nights at Hidden Glen last Thursday a success. What a great turn-out! Thank you to the great leadership by Melanie W, Teresa, Wendy L and the support of everyone who was there. The students and their parents were fully engaged in the planned activities.

Reminders of the Week:
Living the Creed - Remember to invite the parents of the Living the Creed award recipients if you didn't have the chance to do it last Thursday or Friday.

Also please review assembly behaviors with students in these terms (posters coming our way from print shop): 1. Come (in quietly); 2. Sit; 3. Applause or silence (as directed by speaker); 4. Enjoy and learn.

Please schedule your first observation with LouAnn if you haven't done so.

Have you provided your daily schedule to LouAnn using the template we provided? If so, thank you. If not, please do so by the end of the week. This includes paraeducators (full and part time) and itinerant support staff.

From District Communications Regarding 2011-2012 Winter Break
Winter break is scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2011- Friday, December 30, 2011. December 23, 26, 29 and 30 are designated holidays for full year employees.

To accommodate the plans of many employees, the District central offices will be closed to the public from December 26-30.

To account for hours on regular work days during this time (December 27 and 28), District central office full year employees may choose from the following:
- use vacation hours for work time they choose not to work, or
- use pre-approved, accumulated compensatory hours for work time they choose not to work, or
