The District/"Big Picture" Schedule Regarding May 27th as a Snow Make-up Day:
Wednesday, November 24 was a snow day and will be made up on Friday May 27. Details of that day are itemized below:
*Secondary schools will operate on a normal Friday schedule.
*Elementary schools will begin the day as normally scheduled for Friday, but students will be released 2 ¾ hours early. This means that:
- Early elementary schools (like Firgrove) will dismiss at 12:01 p.m.
- Late elementary schools will dismiss at 12:31 p.m.
*Students:
- Secondary students will attend a full day.
- Elementary students will attend a half day and be released 2 ¾ hours early.
- Elementary AM kindergarten will attend school.
- Elementary PM kindergarten will not attend school.
- AM/PM Regular Special Education Preschool is canceled.
- Extended Day Special Education Preschool attends school.
*Certificated Instructional Staff:
- Secondary certificated instructional staff will work their normal Friday schedule.
- Elementary certificated instructional staff will be released early 30 minutes after students are dismissed.
*Classified staff:
- Both secondary and elementary classified staff will work their normal Friday schedule.
*Elementary Paras:
- Elementary Paras are expected to work their regular hours. Their supervisor can provide them with instructions for duties to be performed at the school.
- Elementary Paras may use 1/2 day personal leave if requested in advance through the sub office.
- Elementary Paras may take the afternoon off without pay if requested in advance through the sub office and if they are out of personal leave.
- Paras may NOT do comp time and exchange work done earlier in the week in order to take the afternoon off.
End of the Year Information: Watch for closing/end-of-year packets and other pertinent information in your mailboxes and via email. Begin any of the closing procedures that are appropriate to begin now.
