The video below is a short clip of the work of our World Music Ensemble that meets every Tuesday and Thursday with Jim. The piece is based on a traditional dance called "Yandaki" or "Yandaki-Makru," which is performed at celebrations in Guinea, West Africa. Jim's disclaimer on the video states, "Sorry about the lousy camera placement, but it is the best recording we have so far"---spoken like a true perfectionist! :-) Char and I don't know what he's talking about in his disclaimer because we enjoyed watching it. He also promised to have more in the future to share with staff. Jim has also committed to have the group perform again during our district's Annual Honoring Cultures Diversity Celebration at the Puyallup Spring Fair.

Please note: Time and space is limited, so while it would be great to give kids the opportunity to "window shop" before they actually shop, PTA is asking that we only send kids who are actually ready to shop with their money. PTA thanks you for your support.
