Hawk Staff Ready to Groove at "The 'Grove"

8/30 Tues. - Supplemental Day #2 - Cultural Competency

- 8:00-10:00 Registration begins at 7:30 and session promptly begins at 8:00, ERHS, lunch on your own, be ready to be back in the building for the 11:30 -3:30 afternoon part of the training

8/31 Wed. - Supplemental Day #3 a.k.a. 181st Day - - 3.75 hours of this day is Principal/Building Directed.

- certificated staff are required to be in the building by 11:30; 2 hours are for the Meet and Greet and the other 1.75 hours are time to accomplish the following: mandatory Safe Schools training, completing individual daily schedule and completing the REACH Planning template. The last two items are required to be submitted to LouAnn by September 7th.

- classified staff members are required to put their contracted three hours (consult with the certificated staff with whom they work to identify the needed window of work time); one hour of the three hours needs to be alloted for the Safe Schools training; additional hours need to be pre-approved and based on their job title need

The documents emailed were: 2011-2012 Supplemental Days Information/Instructions; Supplemental Days Schedule for all certificated job clusters/categories; Supplemental Days Attendance Verification Form (must be completed and submitted to HR by September 30th)

- As you settle in and move things around in your classrooms, please do not drag furnitures on the floor, especially in the hallways. Email Jennifer if you need help to move things. Feel free to leave special instruction taped onto the furniture to be moved.
- Please do not leave things you no longer want in the staff lounge or any other part of the building such as storage rooms or closets. Feel free to invite colleagues to go through your unwanted pile in you room or just toss them in the trash.

Zumba Comes to Firgrove: Claire and Almai are now officially certified Zumba instructors as of August 6th and they are extremely tickled and excited to bring Zumba Fitness to Firgrove staff as a way to have loads of fun together while getting in tip-top shape so we can be our better/best self in front of our students. When - August 22-23; 8:00-3:30 pm, lunch on your own, bring teacher manual; register for your grade level specific class by going to the Pro Dev site and type "Bridges Training - Grade __" on the Search field then select your class and register.
